General
IcarusPCB is an AI-powered embedded systems simulation platform. Upload your MCU and sensor datasheets, and our AI generates accurate virtual hardware models — so you can test firmware before your boards even arrive.
No — that's the whole point. IcarusPCB lets you simulate your entire embedded system virtually. Start writing and testing firmware immediately, without waiting for dev boards, sensors, or any physical hardware to ship.
We support all major MCU families including STM32, ESP32, nRF52, RP2040, SAMD, RISC-V, AVR, and PIC. Our AI datasheet pipeline can also generate simulation models for MCUs we haven't explicitly tested — just upload the datasheet.
Technical
Our simulations provide register-level accuracy based on official datasheets. Peripheral models — GPIO, UART, SPI, I2C, timers, ADC, and more — are built to match real hardware behavior, so your firmware runs the same way it would on physical silicon.
Yes. Upload your compiled .elf files built with your existing toolchain (GCC, IAR, Keil, etc.) and IcarusPCB will simulate them directly. No code changes, no special SDKs, no porting required.
The desktop editor is the supported workflow today. CLI and IDE integrations for VS Code, PlatformIO, STM32CubeIDE, and Arduino are in private beta while we finish unifying them on the production backend.
Pricing
Yes. The free tier includes 100 API calls per day and 10 simulations per month — enough to evaluate the platform and run small projects. No credit card required to get started.
Absolutely. There are no contracts and no cancellation fees. You can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel your plan at any time directly from your dashboard. Your data remains accessible for 30 days after cancellation.
Security
Yes. All firmware uploads are encrypted in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest (AES-256). Your firmware is loaded into an isolated simulation environment and automatically deleted after the simulation completes. We never store or share your intellectual property.
All data is stored in SOC 2 Type II compliant infrastructure located in the United States. We use industry-standard security practices including encryption, access controls, and regular third-party audits to protect your data.
